Investigations

Most employers have policies prohibiting sexual harassment and other types of harassment. An employer's investigation of harassment claims, and its response to those claims, may determine whether or not an employer is liable under anti-discrimination laws. An employee may raise a borderline claim of harassment, but if the employer does not investigate and remedy the situation, the employer may become liable.

Employers confronting these situations have hired Raymond Nardo to investigate harassment claims. Employers, or outside counsel for employers, may want an independent opinion, and may not want to become witnesses at deposition or trial. Depending on the allegations, these investigations often require a review of documents, emails, and interviews with all relevant witnesses.
